Thanks to all who helped launch Jungle Tangle at the Botanic Gardens on Saturday – a great laugh, complete with Amazonian adventures round the gardens and tropical glass houses. The weather matched the book perfectly: snow outside (Jungle Tangle starts in the UK winter) and steamy sweaties in the Palm House aka Amazon jungle.
Tom Donegan was his usual masterly Master of Ceremonies; Niamh from Mercier did the honours beautifully, and the Garden Café caterers were fab (the biccies couldn’t have been biccier).
And of course the crowning glory, head honcho, chocky champ and treasure hunt prize was this tasty version of Fernando, the shrunken head of a 16th century Spanish conquistador. Well done to Erik, Aoife and Asha for winning this hunky hero.
